Easy Digging

A documentary crew follows Ed Brown, a middle-aged building inspector, as he returns to his childhood dream of digging a hole to China. When Ed’s plans go viral and a billionaire investor gets involved, the whole world tunes in. About

About Me

I'm an author, indie filmmaker, and improviser based in Austin, TX. Spells to Mend Broken Hearts is my debut novel, set to be released by Scholastic in September 2026. In addition to my fiction, I have been making DIY films since 2011, including the award-winning film Bed Eater: The Movie and, most recently, the feature-length film Easy Digging. My directing style is influenced by my decade of experience performing and directing improv comedy, primarily at The Hideout Theatre. When I'm not working on my next project, I can be found recommending movies at We Luv Video, a non-profit video rental store where I serve on the board and help manage day to day operations.

My fiction is represented by Alexandra Weiss at Azantian Literary.
